The Neighborhood Stabilization Program
We believe in the power of community and the importance of creating stable and thriving neighborhoods. That’s why we are proud to have supported The Neighborhood Stabilization Program, an initiative under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that aimed to transform foreclosed properties into sources of hope and opportunity for communities.
The City of Henderson, in partnership with HopeLink, embarked on a mission to renovate four properties that had the potential to become sources of abandonment and blight. Through their dedicated efforts, these properties were not only revitalized but also transformed into homes for long-term residents.
HopeLink, committed to the well-being of its community, assumed responsibility for managing these properties for a minimum of 15 years. Their ultimate goal is to empower the residents living in these homes by helping them become homeowners themselves. This journey includes supporting them with credit cleanup and providing first-time homebuyer down payment assistance.
The immediate impact of this project is felt by the individuals and families who call these houses their homes. These residents, considered low income but not homeless, experience immediate savings and stability in their lives, thanks to the efforts of The Neighborhood Stabilization Program and the partnership between the City of Henderson and HopeLink.
