The Community Project Ethiopia
In an inspiring collaboration between Enstall Empowers, Twende Solar, and Enstall’s IronRidge, the village of Debre Birhan in Ethiopia is on the verge of a groundbreaking transformation. Thanks to their joint efforts, an 8kW off-grid solar PV system is slated for installation in November 2023, promising a brighter future for over 4,000 community members and 1,000 students.
The installation, made possible by the generous provision of racking and mounting materials, creates access to clean energy, enabling the village to power their school and community center. Previously restricted to daylight, students can now access computer training and education after dark, all thanks to sustainable solar solutions. This provides enhanced learning opportunities, an academic STEM lab, and economic growth for the community.
This initiative, supported by IronRidge’s robust racking products and Twende’s expertise, is more than just electricity; it’s a pathway to a brighter future for Ethiopia.
